Senior India batter Virat Kohli reportedly got into an altercation with a female journalist at the Melbourne Airport as the Indian players landed in the city on Thursday ahead of the Boxing Day Test. According to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald, journalists were speaking to Australia pacer Scott Boland and it was around the same time that Kohli and his family were seen at the airport. The cameras then switched to Kohli, but the former India captain, who prefers keeping his personal life away from the media got angry pretty quickly.
The cameras of Channel 7 filmed Kohli’s confrontation with a female reporter who was also filming him. Just as the Delhi batter walked away, he turned to the Channel 7 cameras and urged them not to film without his permission. “With my kids I need some privacy, you can’t film without asking me,” Kohli said.
Another reporter, however, clarified that it was a complete misunderstanding as Kohli thought that the cameras were filming his children. Kohli was also given an assurance that he and his family weren’t being filmed. He also shook hands with the reporter.
