South Africa women vs New Zealand women match result: New Zealand defeated South Africa by 32 runs to clinch their maiden Women’s T20 World Cup title. Having been asked to bat first, the Kiwis rode on Amelia Kerr’s 43 to pot 158/5 on the board. Kerr (3/24) starred with the ball as well, along with Rosemary Mair (3/25) as the White Ferns restricted South Africa to 126/9.

Both South Africa and New Zealand have lost just one match each in their 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup campaign so far. While the White Ferns went down to Australia by 60 runs in the group stage, South Africa lost to England by seven wickets.

South Africa will look to bury the ghosts of past, after the Proteas had made the final of the 2023 edition as well, eventually going down to Australia.
