After handing over the World Cup trophy to Australia skipper Pat Cummins, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to a crestfallen Indian cricket team in the dressing room. PM Modi consoled and motivated Rohit Sharma and his men who went down to the Aussies in the World Cup final in Ahmedabad on Sunday. In a video released of the dressing room, PM Modi reminded the Indian cricket team that they had done well and had reached the spot in the final after 10 straight wins. He also told the team that they had given their all and have no reason to be disappointed. He also said win or loss wasn’t in one’s hand, what was important was how much the team tried. The Prime Minister joked with Ahmedabad-native Jasprit Bumrah on whether he knew Gujarati while also shaking hands with the likes of coach Rahul Dravid, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav and KL Rahul.
