Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2025: Full list of retained and released players

Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2025 retained and released players list: LSG released skipper KL Rahul back into the auction pool and have decided to retain Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi as well as the uncapped duo of Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan.

Lucknow Super Giants’ list of retained and released players: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have named Nicholas Pooran as their top retention ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction, and have also included Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi and the uncapped pair of Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan. Explosive West Indian wicketkeeper-batter Pooran is the top retention at Rs 21 crore while express pacer Yadav and leg-spinner Bishnoi have been retained at Rs 11 crore each. Badoni and Mohsin are retained at Rs 4 crore each that is reserved for ‘uncapped’ players.

KL Rahul, who has led LSG for three seasons since their debut in 2022, has decided to part ways with the franchise due to “personal and professional reasons”, and will likely be in demand in the upcoming auction with a number of other franchises looking to recruit him as a captain.

Among other players heading back to the auction pool is all-rounder Krunal Pandya, who had joined the franchise in their debut season in 2022 from Mumbai Indians. Some of the other big names who have not been retained by the Sanjiv Goenka-owned franchise are South African wicketkeeper-opener Quinton de Kock,  Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and English speedster Mark Wood.

LSG’s list of retained players: Nicholas Pooran (Rs 21 crore), Mayank Yadav (Rs 11 crore), Ravi Bishnoi (Rs 11 crore), Ayush Badoni (Rs 4 crore), Mohsin Khan (Rs 4 crore).

Which players LSG retained before IPL 2022 mega auction?

Lucknow Super Giants had made their debut in 2022 and had signed KL Rahul as their skipper ahead of the mega auction, with the wicketkeeper-batter joining the franchise after four seasons with Punjab Kings. LSG also signed Stoinis and Bishnoi ahead of the auction. Lucknow would go on to reach the playoffs on debut, losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator.
