The list of the players from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 player auction has soared from 574 to 577 after three more players were added. Initially, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced a list of 574 players who will be available during the IPL 2025 auction that will be taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 24 and 25 November, however, three more players have been added to the list now.
These three players are – England pacer Jofra Archer, USA fast bowler Saurabh Netravalkar, and Mumbai wicket-keeper Hardik Tamore. Archer was not a part of the initial list as he wanted to keep himself ready for England summer but he has made a U-turn and will now be available in the IPL 2025 auction players list.

Archer will have a base price of Rs 2 crore, which they are now 82 players in the highest category, while Netravalkar and Tamore are in the lowest base price category of Rs 30 lakh.
With 577 players in the mix, here’s the split for the IPL 2025 auction. The complete list of 577 players includes 242 capped players (48 Indians, 194 overseas) and 331 uncapped players. As expected most of the uncapped players are Indians (319). The list also includes four Associate players – USA’s Saurabh Netravalkar, Unmukt Chand, and Ali Khan, and Scotland’s Brandon McMullen.
10 IPL teams to fill 204 slots in 2025 auction
Overall the 10 IPL teams will be looking to fill a combined 204 slots. The Punjab Kings (PBKS) who only retained two uncapped players have the biggest remaining purse of Rs 110.5 crore and are aiming to add a total of 23 players under the guidance of new coach Ricky Ponting.
Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have retained just three players including the former India captain and have the second-highest budget of Rs 83 crore for the auction.
