IPL Auction 2025 Players Registration in Numbers: The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction will take place on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it was confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (5 November 2024) . The BCCI also revealed that a whopping 1,574 players have registered for the IPL 2025 player auction.

Total number of players registered for IPL 2024 player auction: 1,574 players
Total number of Indian players registered for IPL 2024 player auction: 1,165 players

The full list of 1574 players registered for the IPL mega auction includes 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations.

The BCCI has so far not released any list of the players who have registered but multiple reports have indicated that Ben Stokes has not entered the auction pool to manage his workload, but his former teammate James Anderson at 42 will be available at the auction. Anderson has not played a T20 since 2014 and has never played in the IPL but is hoping to make his debut in IPL 2025.
Some of the other big overseas names are Kane Williamson, Jofra Archer, Glenn Maxwell, Jos Buttler, Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, Adam Zampa, Moeen Ali, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Trent Boult, and Kagiso Rabada.
One player from Italy, Thomas Draca, has also registered for the IPL auction. Draca played for Brampton in the Global T20 Canada and is part of the MI Emirates for the new season of the ILT20.
The focus as usual will be on Indian players and some big stars will be up for grabs including Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel, and Arshdeep Singh.
