Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were bundled out for just 113 during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Chennai on Sunday. Pat Cummins, with 24 runs, was the top-scorer for SRH as they looked like an unsettled batting unit right from the start. This is the lowest team total in an IPL final. The previous lowest was 125/9 by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2013 final.
Mitchell Starc struck in the very first over for KKR, cleaning up opener Abhishek Sharma with a peach of a delivery, and it did not take long before the other opener, Travis Head, was dismissed by Vaibhav Arora in the second over.

A 26-run stand for the fourth wicket between Aiden Markram and Nitish Kumar Reddy was the highest partnership for Sunrisers Hyderabad. West Indian Andre Russell struck only in the second ball with the dismissal of Markram, who went for a pull shot but found Starc at long-on. Russell struck once again in the 13th over to get rid of Abdul Samad for four. Abdul Samad had been brought on as an impact player, in place for Travis Head.
In the 19th over, Russell saw off SRH skipper Pat Cummins and eventually finished with figures of 3/19. Harshit Rana also collected two wickets, following the dismissals of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the seventh over and Heinrich Klaasen in the 15th over, whereas Varun Chakaravarthy and Vaibhav Arora collected a wicket each.
