Hardik Pandya was retained by Gujarat Titans on Sunday as IPL teams finalised their list of players ahead of the mini-auction for the 2024 edition which is to take place on 19 December in Dubai. Pandya was expected to join his former franchise Mumbai Indians after the same was reported by almost all major media houses. However, on Sunday, Gujarat Titans sprung a surprise and announced that Pandya has been retained. The trading window will be open until seven days prior to the player auction. Which means Pandya can still join his former team. Pandya, who joined the MI family in 2015, stayed with the franchise till 2021 and won four IPL titles. He was released ahead of the mega auction in 2022 after which he joined Gujarat Titans. The all-rounder led GT to a maiden IPL title in their first season.
