India captain Virat Kohli slammed his 35th ODI century to guide India to an eight-wicket victory over South Africa in the 6th ODI in Centurion. On the back of Kohli’s scintillating 129* off 96 balls, the visitors chased down 205 with relative ease. The win capped India’s first-ever series win on South African soil with the visitors clinching the ODI series 5-1. Unsurprisingly, the Indian skipper was also named the Man-of-the-Series for hitting three centuries in the six-match ODI series. Kohli’s greatness keeps rising as he breaks and builds records day-in and day-out. He just 14 tons away from matching Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most ODI centuries of 49 hundreds. Kohli’s magnificent century had everybody talking on social media. Have a look at some of the best tweets from current to former players and few fans as well, who had nothing but praises to shower upon the Indian run-machine.
Virat Kohli and then daylight.

Modesty from the great Sir Viv , but this has been the Virat Kohli series. Not in years has a batsman dominated the opposition in this manner. #KingKohli pic.twitter.com/yKrAu5GKtV
It’s quite charming to see that Virat Kohli still celebrates when he reaches a century.
