The senior men’s selection committee on Friday announced the Indian T20 squad for the tour of South Africa. The T20 squad obviously doesn’t include any of the players who will be part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy . Meanwhile, middle-order batter Ramandeep Singh and pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak have earned their maiden India call-ups.
Riyan Parag was not included as he was unavailable due to a shoulder injury. He is currently at the BCCI Centre of Excellence for “long-term resolution of his chronic right shoulder injury”.
Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube were also unavailable for selection owing to injuries.
Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ramandeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Avesh Khan, Yash Dayal.
