Taijul successfully appeals for leg-before against Kohli in the final ball of his fifth over, and the latter reviews it right away with a relaxed expression on his face. Clear inside-edge on replay, and the on-field umpire has to change his decision. Must say, the umpiring hasn’t quite been up to the mark so far today.

Bangladeshi skipper Shakib, meanwhile, reverts to spin from both ends, bringing Taijul in to replace Taskin, who is taken off after just one over. Axar, meanwhile, has his eye set in at the moment and is batting on 16.

Commendable fightback from the Bangladeshis to make a game out it after appearing dead and buried at 113/6 following Mehidy’s dismissal. Superb counter-attacking knock from Litton Das, who forged valuable partnerships with Nurul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed to guide Bangladesh past the 200-mark and set a target close to 150.

Litton might just have given the Bangladeshi attack enough to work with. An early wicket or two, especially with the way KL dishing out one low score after another, and we could be in for a thriller!

Siraj, meanwhile, decides rekindle his little on-field theatrics with Litton, with whom he has had several run-ins so far in the ongoing tour. Siraj successfully appeals for LBW against Taskin in the penultimate ball of the 65th, and Litton urges him to take the review soon as the umpire raises his finger. And sure enough, the ball was pitching well outside leg. India desperate for a breakthrough at the moment.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, will be hoping to get their lead as close to 200 as possible from here and that should come as a major boost to the morale of their attack.

The on-field umpires take this upstairs with soft-signal ‘Not Out’, and sure enough, it falls well short of Kohli’s palms.

The Tigers have now stretched their lead to 70 with four wickets still in hand, with the Litton-Nurul partnership proving quite handy at the moment.

After Nurul smashed Ashwin for a six at the start of his new spell, Litton decides to play a couple of expansive sweeps off Axar’s bowling, collecting two fours in three balls, targeting the midwicket fence on each occasion. 31 runs have been collected in the last four overs, and for the first time in this innings, the Tigers are putting the pressure back on the Indians with an attacking brand of cricket. Their lead has also gone past the 50-mark now.
