Mitchell Starc gave Australia the perfect start in the second Test against India at the Adelaide Oval as he dismissed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck on the first ball of the pink-ball Test match. Starc, who opened the bowling for Australia after they lost the toss , bowled a fuller-length delivery to Jaiswal who missed it on the flick and was trapped in front of the stumps.
Jaiswal had a word with his partner KL Rahul but decided against going upstairs and taking the review as the Australian team burst into celebration.
In a way, Starc dismissing Jaiswal on the first ball of a match was revenge for the veteran pacer after he was sledged by the young opener at Perth. During their battle in the first Test at Perth, Jaiswal was heard making fun of Starc’s pace.
“You are coming too slow at me,” Jaiswal was caught saying by the stump mic.
Don’t count out Yashasvi, however, as he was dismissed for a duck in the first innings of the Perth Test as well before making 161 in the second innings and helping Team India win the match by 295 runs .

Team India makes three changes in Adelaide
Meanwhile, India have made three for the Adelaide Test with captain Rohit Sharma returning along with Shubman Gill and Ravichandran Ashwin. Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel, and Devdutt Padikkal have been dropped.
“It looks a good pitch. It obviously looks a little dry at the moment but there’s enough grass covering as well,” Rohit said at the toss. “I guess it will have some carry for the fast bowlers but as the game goes on it will get better to bat and there will be something in it for everyone.”
For Australia, Scott Boland replaced injured pacer Josh Hazlewood as the only change.
