Hardik Pandya will miss India’s next World Cup 2023 match against New Zealand due to the ankle injury he suffered in the Bangladesh game. The India vs New Zealand game will take place on 22 October (Sunday) in Dharamsala. But BCCI in its statement only said that the player will be under the supervision of the medical team. “The all-rounder was taken for scans and is advised rest. He will be under the constant supervision of the BCCI Medical Team. He will not be taking the flight to Dharamsala with the team on 20th October and will now join the team directly in Lucknow where India play England,” the BCCI statement read. Pandya injured his ankle while trying to stop a straight drive from Litton Das off his own bowling. The all-rounder stretched his right foot to stop the ball but slipped to the ground and in the process twisted his ankle.
