India’s will look to end the England Test series with a victory in Dharamsala. The fifth and final Test begins on 7 March and even though the hosts are 3-1 up in the series, a victory in Dharamsala Test will help them consolidate their spot at the top of the World Test Championship (2023-25) points table . But weather in Dharmsala could prove to be a small problem in India’s way.
The Himachal Pradesh city, which is not very far from Himalayas, is expected to have an ‘English’ weather during the fifth India-England Test. This is something that can favour the visiting side who have the legendary swing bowler James Anderson in their ranks. Even an express fast bowler like Mark Wood would be become a tough challenge in these conditions.
India on the other hand are also expected to be well-prepared with Jasprit Bumrah back in the squad after being rested in Ranchi and Mohammed Siraj being well capable of capitalising on cold and swinging conditions. Also don’t forget, left-arm wrist-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav made his Test debut at Dharamsala in 2017, taking four wickets in a match-winning performance.
