Famous for his big-hitting prowess and shattering innumerable records, West Indies cricket icon Chris Gayle has now won a million hearts with a moving gesture off the field. In a video, which has now gone viral on social media, Gayle can be seen at a gas station in Jamaica mesmerising fans in his own unique way. It has been learnt that the ex-West Indies skipper paid the gas bill for the vehicle owners who visited the petrol pump located in Portmore, Jamaica. “It is your lucky day today,” the southpaw could be heard saying in the video shared on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

“Chris Gayle paying for everyone’s gas last night at a gas station in Portmore,” read the now-viral post. Needless to say, Gayle’s heart-warming gesture enthralled fans. The ‘Universe Boss’ was even seen posing for selfies at the petrol pump. Social media users also appreciated Gayle’s kind-hearted act.

One of the finest players ever to represent the West Indies cricket team, Gayle has featured in 103 Tests, 301 ODIs and 79 T20Is. In the 50-over format, Gayle has 10480 runs along with 25 centuries and 54 half centuries. In terms of bowling also, the 44-year-old has a formidable record. In the limited-overs cricket, Gayle has picked up more than 150 wickets. In Tests, Gayle has registered an impressive average of 42.18.

Gayle also exhibited his exploits in the Indian Premier League (IPL) having featured in the competition 142 times. Gayle has six centuries and 31 half centuries in the tournament. His strike rate in the IPL has been an impressive 148.96.
