As per the report, the cricketing global body reached this consensus on Thursday in Dubai when new ICC chairperson Jay Shah held an informal meeting with the board of directors, including Pakistan, in Dubai’s head office .

“It’s been agreed in principle by all parties that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in the UAE and Pakistan with India playing its matches in Dubai. It’s a win-win situation for all stakeholders,” an ICC source told news agency PTI.

As per the draft schedule, the Champions Trophy 2025 will take place from 19 February to 9 March next year, However, the official schedule is yet to finalised.

Meanwhile, Pakistan wanted a hybrid model setup for their team till 2031 , but the ICC has granted permission till 2027, the report said. This means that Pakistan’s matches for the 2026 T20 World Cup will be hosted in co-host Sri Lanka and not in India.

“During the 2026 men’s T20 World Cup, Pakistan will play its matches in Sri Lanka. The compensation demanded by PCB for the Champions Trophy hybrid model is still under consideration,” the source said.

India will also be hosting the women’s ODI World Cup in October 2025 and if Pakistan qualify for it then the Women in Blue will have to travel to a neutral venue for their match against the Women in Green.
