Nobody is ready to give an inch as tensions continue to rise between India and England cricketers during the final day of play in the Lord’s Test. After Shuman Gill and Zak Crawley’s spat on Day 3 and Ben Stokes’ sarcastic claps directed towards KL Rahul on Day 4, Ravindra Jadeja was seen having a fiery exchange with Brydon Carse on the final day of the third Test on Monday.
The incident took place on the last delivery of the 35th over, with India’s score being 101/7. Jadeja guided a back-of-length delivery to third man and quickly set off for two runs. However, he ended up barging into Carse while completing the first run.
A visibly angry Carse was then seen exchanging a few words with Jadeja, who was trying to signal through his fingers that his eyes were fixed on the ball when he collided with the England fast bowler.
The face-off was eventually ended after England captain Ben Stokes intervened and separated the pair, while the umpires also had a word with the players.
The ongoing Lord’s Test has witnessed multiple on-field spats between the players of both teams as they look to take a lead in the series. The five-match series is currently tied 1-1.

India need a miracle to win
England took a big step towards victory by taking three quick wickets in the first session of Day 5 as Jofra Archer dismissed Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar, while KL Rahul was removed by Stokes.
Jadeja and Reddy showed some fightback, but the latter was dismissed by Chris Woakes at the stroke of lunch for 13 runs. England now require just two wickets to win, while India are 81 runs behind going into lunch.
Jadeja is now the only recognised batter left, and he will have to pull off a miracle alongside Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah to win this match. However, a England win is now the most likely result from here on considering the batting history of India’s tailenders.
