India cricketer Prithvi Shaw has opened up on his on-field argument with his former Mumbai teammate Musheer Khan . He shared a heartfelt message just days after getting involved in the fight. The incident happened during a practice match in Pune ahead of the new Ranji Trophy season and drew a lot of criticism on social media.

Shaw, who recently moved from Mumbai to Maharashtra, was batting brilliantly when the fight took place. After scoring a superb 181 runs in the warm-up game, he got into a heated exchange with some of his ex-teammates while walking back to the pavilion.

He was seen fighting with Musheer, who had dismissed him after his 181 off 220 balls. Videos of the argument quickly went viral, showing Shaw and Musheer having words after the dismissal.

According to reports, Shaw later realised his mistake and apologised to Musheer. A source told The Times of India that Shaw told Musheer, “I am like an elder brother to you,” and the matter has now been resolved.

With only a few days left for the Ranji Trophy season to begin on October 15, Shaw posted a positive message on social media. He shared a picture of himself performing a havan on Instagram with the caption, “Prayers that calm my heart and guide my path.”

Shaw has been named in Maharashtra’s 16-member squad, which will be led by Ankeet Bawane, with Jalaj Saxena also included in the team. Maharashtra will begin their Ranji Trophy campaign against Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. They are placed in Group B along with Kerala, Saurashtra, Chandigarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Goa.

Shaw will be hoping to revive his career this season after going through a tough few years. The former India U-19 captain also has his eyes set on returning to the national team, though it won’t be easy given the strong pool of talent waiting for opportunities. He was also left out of the previous Indian Premier League (IPL) season and will be eager to make a comeback in the tournament as well.
