Australia captain Pat Cummins had a cheeky response when asked about the pitch used in the second Test between India and England at Edgbaston. Cummins made the comment after leading Australia to a 133-run win over West Indies in Grenada, where bowlers had far more help than in the Test between India and England.

Pat Cummins calls Edgbaston one of the flattest wickets

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Cummins said, “I wasn’t (watching India vs England), probably Marnus (Labuschagne) was, we’ll keep an eye on it. Who’d want to be a bowler over there? Well, I wouldn’t be surprised (over Edgbaston wicket being the third flattest wicket in English history). Looking at Test cricket his week over here compared to that, looks like two different sports. It looks like it is going to be a good series, 1-1 now.”

“An away (series) win as well, they’re not the easiest to come by, so really pumped with how we’ve bounced back after Lord’s," Cummins said. “It’s a dream start, two from two gets us into the (new WTC) cycle and we’ve played some really good cricket,” Cummins said after the win in the second Test.
