STUMPS ON DAY 1 – India end the opening day on 121/2 after 38 overs, trailing West Indies by 41 runs with 8 wickets in hand!

KL Rahul’s batting on 53 (114) with captain Shubman Gill on 18 (42) for company as Team India end the day with the upper hand, having bowled West Indies out for just 162 earlier in the day!

The day belonged to the Indian pacers, with Mohammed Siraj (4/40) and Jasprit Bumrah (3/42) accounting for seven of the 10 West Indian wickets that fell on the opening day in Ahmedabad. And among the batters, while Rahul did bring up a half-century, Yashasvi Jaiswal will be kicking himself for failing to convert a solid start.
