England captain Ben Stokes continued his remarkable luck with the coin, winning his fourth consecutive toss of the series. He chose to bowl first against India in the 4th Test at Old Trafford, Manchester .
The biggest talking point came from India’s team sheet. Karun Nair, who struggled for form in the previous Tests, has been dropped for the must-win clash. In his place, left-handed Tamil Nadu batter Sai Sudharsan has been brought back.
Fans are expressing mixed emotions as Karun Nair, who made his long-awaited Test comeback after eight years, has been dropped again.

Thank You Karun Nair. pic.twitter.com/WZI8jt3VzP
Disappointed not to see Karun Nair in the XI today. But with the talent pool India has, and him getting 3 chances, maybe that was it. Unfortunate, but fair. Don’t think he’ll get another go. Thank you for that unforgettable triple ton, Karun. 💔🙏 #KarunNair

The visitors made two forced changes as well in the form of Shardul Thakur and Anshul Kamboj. While Shardul came in place of injured Nitish Kumar Reddy, debutant Anshul replaced Akash Deep .
For England, there were no surprises as they stuck with the same XI except for one change in Liam Dawson, who replaced injured Shoaib Bashir. England clinched a thrilling 22-run win at Lord’s to go 2-1 up in the series.
