India produced yet another clinical all-round display, restricting Pakistan to 127/9 at the end of 20 overs and chasing the target down with seven wickets and more than four overs to spare to notch up their second consecutive victory in the Asia Cup.

India virtually booked their place in the Super 4s of the 2025 Asia Cup after pulling off another successful chase in Dubai, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets with more than four overs to spare on Sunday. Kuldeep Yadav headlined yet another clinical bowling performance by the Indian team, collecting 3/18 with Axar Patel (2/18) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/28) collecting a couple of wickets each as the Men in Blue restricted their arch-rivals to 127/9 after Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha opted to bat.

In-form opener Abhishek Sharma (31 off 13) then got India off a flier for the second time in as many games , smashing Pakistani pace star for two sixes and as many fours and striking at over 200 (238.46) to lay the foundation for a successful chase.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav later steered his team home with an unbeaten 47, building a steady third-wicket partnership with Mumbai Indians teammate Tilak Varma (31 off 31) worth 56 that ensured Pakistan were not able to claw their way back into the game after removing both Indian openers inside the powerplay. He later sealed India’s dominant triumph with a six off left-arm wrist spinner Sufiyan Muqeem.
