India virtually booked their place in the Super 4s of the 2025 Asia Cup after pulling off another successful chase in Dubai, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets with more than four overs to spare on Sunday. Kuldeep Yadav headlined yet another clinical bowling performance by the Indian team, collecting 3/18 with Axar Patel (2/18) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/28) collecting a couple of wickets each as the Men in Blue restricted their arch-rivals to 127/9 after Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha opted to bat.

He later sealed India’s dominant triumph with a six off left-arm wrist spinner Sufiyan Muqeem.

Had it not been for Afridi’s explosive 33 not out off 16 balls and opener Sahibzada Farhan’s patient 40, Pakistan might have ended much earlier than expected.

Another day, another venue, another event, yet the outcome is still the same!
