India A vs Pakistan A, Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 LIVE: Cricket fans will be gearing up for another showdown between arch-rivals India and Pakistan at the Asia Cup Rising Stars in Doha on Sunday. The two neighbours had met each other thrice in the senior Men’s T20 Asia Cup that had taken place in the UAE in September, each meeting taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on a Sunday.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led Men in Blue had emerged triumphant on each occasion against their arch-rivals, led by Salman Ali Agha. While the first two meetings, in the group stage and in the ‘Super Fours’ had resulted in comfortable wins for India, it took a blinder of a knock from Tilak Varma to rescue India from an early collapse and steer them to a five-wicket victory in the final.
The India A team, led by wicketkeeper-captain Jitesh Sharma, will be hoping to keep the party going when they face the Irfan Khan-led Pakistan Shaheens at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar on Sunday.
More India vs Pakistan drama in store
The senior tournament had also witnessed plenty of drama between the two sides, with the Indian team refusing to shake the hands of their Pakistani opponents at any given stage of a match. Things got ugly as the tournament progressed, with some members of the Pakistani team retaliating by making a series of offensive gestures on the field.
It remains to be seen if the two ‘A’ teams maintain the on-field hostilities that were observed between the senior players during Sunday’s showdown in Doha.
As for the ongoing tournament, both India and Pakistan have won one game each – while India thrashed UAE by 148 runs, with opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashing a 42-ball 144 , Pakistan Shaheens began their campaign with a 40-run victory over hosts Oman.
