The United States and Israel launched strikes across Iran last Saturday and since then airspace in multiple Gulf countries has been shut. Some restrictions have eased in the past few days but travel remains affected even now.

Sammy expresses frustration on X
West Indies played India in a must-win encounter last Sunday at the T20 World Cup. However, with the loss to India, the Caribbean side was eliminated. The players and support staff would have departed soon after that but currently they are in Kolkata, waiting for approval to fly amid the conflict.
“I just wanna go home,” Sammy posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, March 5.
Sammy, under whose captaincy West Indies won the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cups, is currently the head coach of the team. Under his guidance, West Indies won all its group stages matches, including one against England. However at the Super 8s, West Indies lost to South Africa and India to get knocked out.
Zimbabwe players start to leave India
Zimbabwe players have started leaving India after they too were stuck in India amid the conflict. The Chevrons, who stunned former T20 World Champions Australia and Sri Lanka in the group stage, played their final Super 8 game on Sunday against South Africa in Delhi.
