Corbin Bosch has finally ended his silence over switching from Pakistan Super League (PSL) to Indian Premier League (IPL) which led to him receiving a legal notice from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) . Bosch was picked by Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 2025 but he will be playing for Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2025 as he was picked as a replacement for injured South African pacer Lizaad Williams.
After the South African all-rounder terminated his PSL contract, PCB sent a notice to Bosch, asking him to “justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments.”

The 30-year-old cricketer has reportedly now informed PCB that he meant no disrespect to PSL but his move to MI and IPL was inspired by his career ambitions as Mumbai also have various franchises in other leagues.
“Bosch provided his explanation to Pakistani officials, stating that his decision was not meant to disrespect PSL. He said he had to prioritize his future, as Mumbai Indians are not only a strong IPL team but also have franchises in multiple other leagues, which could benefit his career significantly,” a report in Cricket Pakistan said.
Bosch has played for Mumbai’s MI Cape Town in the SA20 league.
Meanwhile, Cricket Pakistan also stated that the PCB is currently a divided house on what punishment to give Bosch, as some want the all-rounder to be banned from future PSL seasons, while others feel such an action would have a negative impact.
“Some quarters argue that the league’s credibility is paramount and that Bosch should be banned from future PSL editions as a deterrent for others. However, others believe that imposing a ban might send a negative message to other players. Instead, they suggest a symbolic penalty to resolve the matter. The PCB is expected to make a decision in the coming days,” the report said.
