Rain threat looms large over the India vs Pakistan match in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 , which will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on Sunday (5 October). India are the hosts of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, but all Pakistan matches are being played in Sri Lanka as a result of an agreement that allows the two countries to play their ICC event matches at neutral venues.

India began their campaign by beating Sri Lanka by 59 runs in the opening match at Guwahati, while Pakistan suffered a crushing seven-wicket loss to Bangladesh in Colombo. The Women’s World Cup 2025 is being played in a round-robin format, which means the top four teams from the eight-team table will qualify for the semi-finals.

While India are fourth in the table currently with two points from one match, Pakistan are sixth and yet to open their account. A victory on Sunday will help Harmanpreet Kaur and Co to climb to the top of the table.

IND vs PAK: Colombo weather forecast

However, rain could play spoilsport in Colombo on Sunday, and while the entire ODI may not get washed out, we could lose a lot of overs. The Sri Lana vs Australia match at the same venue was also washed out on Saturday.

According to Accuweather, there’s a 100% chance of rain on Sunday (5 October) in Colombo. The temperatures in Colombo are expected to be around 25-30 degrees Celsius.

At the time of publishing this report at 12.45 PM local time, it was not raining in Colombo, but it was cloudy. According to weather prediction, the maximum chance of rain is between 1-6 PM local time. The match starts at 3 PM local (also 3 PM in India).

Between 1-6 PM, the probability of precipitation is around 20% and the humidity is expected to be around 70%. As said earlier, the match would most likely be impacted by rain, but maybe not enough to result in a washout. We can see a reduction of overs.
