Pakistan set to earn a fraction of total Champions Trophy prize money

With Pakistan finishing at the bottom of Group A after their winless campaign, they are likely to fall in the seventh-eighth bracket, meaning they will take home a total of $265,000.

The team that wins the final on 9 March will pocket a whopping $2.24 million while the runners-up will receive $1.12 million. As for the losing semi-finalists, they will earn $560,000 each.

India and New Zealand have already qualified for the semi-finals after beating Pakistan and Bangladesh, and are set to lock horns in Dubai on Sunday for the top spot in Group A.

Group B, however, remains wide open with South Africa, Australia and Afghanistan still in contention for the semis. Two-time runners-up England, however, join Pakistan and Bangladesh in bowing out of the tournament after suffering defeats against Australia and Afghanistan.
