The Indian board had earlier paid tribute to victims of the deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam during Mumbai Indians’ away match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on 23 April.

The 18th season of the world’s biggest T20 league, meanwhile, is set to continue despite escalating tensions in the Indian subcontinent, with the Pakistan military responding to Operation Sindoor with heavy artillery fire in Poonch and other areas in Jammu and Kashmir close to the Line of Control that resulted in multiple civilian casualties.

MI, however, will not be traveling to Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh for their away game against Punjab Kings on 11 May, and will instead face the Shreyas Iyer-led side at the Wankhede Stadium, their home ground.

The rest of the schedule for the ongoing IPL season remains unchanged in the aftermath of military strikes carried out by the armed forces of the nuclear-armed neighbours.
