PM Modi to travel to Argentina

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is indeed scheduled to travel to Argentina today as part of a significant five-nation tour aimed at strengthening India’s engagement with the Global South. This visit to Buenos Aires marks a historic occasion, being the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Argentina in 57 years.

The trip will mark the third leg of his extensive tour that commenced on July 2.  During his time in Argentina, PM Modi is slated to hold wide-ranging discussions with President Javier Milei. The agenda for these talks is expected to focus on enhancing the multifaceted strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to The Times of India, the Women’s March stated, “They want us scared, divided, and isolated. They want to prevent us from envisioning true freedom. Yet, that’s precisely what we must do”. They added, “This Fourth of July, we will gather in the streets celebrating freedom and joy. The dream of American liberty is for everyone and we will relentlessly pursue its promise.”

Trump to deliver remarks in Iowa

US President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, today. This event, termed “A New Era of American Greatness: America250’s Kick-Off Celebration,” marks the beginning of a year-long commemoration leading up to America’s 250th anniversary of independence in 2026.

According to reports, the event will feature patriotic displays, musical performances and a fireworks show. Some of the other speakers expected to attend include US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, US Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and country singer Lee Greenwood.

Day 3 of the India-England test match

India is set to face England in the third test match of the India-England series today at Edgbaston, Birmingham. This will be a crucial day for both teams. England will be desperate for early wickets to restrict India’s first-innings lead, while India will aim to bat for as long as possible and post a formidable total to put pressure on England in their first innings.
