Singer Zubeen Garg’s sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the country. While the investigation into his death is underway, the singer’s band member and the key witness, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, has shared shocking details about Zubeen’s death and accused manager Siddharth Sharma and event organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta of poisoning the singer.
But there seems to be a new twist to the story as the late singer’s fellow bandmate Partha Pratim Goswami has made some shocking revelations against Garg’s manager and Shekhar Jyoti.
There’s a fresh update as late singer’s cousin and Assam Police DSP Sandipan Garg arrested by CID’s SIT team. Sandipan was present with the singer on the yacht the day the fateful incident happened and he is currently being questioned.
A tweet read- “Assam Police Service officer Sandipan Garg, cousin of late singer Zubeen Garg and Superintendent of Police (In-Charge) of Boko, has been arrested by the CID’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with Zubeen’s mysterious death in Singapore on September 19, 2025. Sandipan, who had accompanied Zubeen to Singapore and was present during his death, was taken into custody this morning, marking a major development in the ongoing investigation.”
What Partha Pratim Goswami said
Partha was quoted saying, “The greatest negligence and carelessness were on the part of Siddharth (Zubeen Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma) and Shekhar (bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami).”
Goswami added, “You two, who stay close to Zubeen like shadows, brought someone who hadn’t slept and had been drinking and partying all night to swim in the sea, fully aware that Zubeen is a seizure patient. How could you do that?”
Parha continued slamming the two for their negligence and said, “You didn’t let him sleep and insisted on taking him to the sea just because you wanted to have fun. I will never forgive them for this reckless mistake for as long as I live.”
