Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan were married to each other for over 14 years before they were officially divorced in 2014, shocking fans and friends. In an interview with Subhojit Ghosh on YouTube, Sussanne’s brother Zayed Khan opened up on the unfortunate news.
Khan said, “We are a very modern family. There’s a saying, blood is thicker than water. If two people don’t want to be with each other but they have many other things in common, one must understand and support them. There is something which lies ahead of that; family, children, everybody… Responsibilities are above and beyond all of that.”
The actor added, “I have nothing to say beyond, these are things that one has to look at maturely. It could happen to anybody. Also, look at our city, we live in a city where there are so many distractions. We don’t live in Dalhousie. It’s a tough city to survive for a lot of marriages, let alone my own family. Needless to say, we are an unmovable force.”
Also, in a recent interview, Sussane’s mother Zarine Khan opened up about her daughter’s new love of life Arslan Goni . “He has studied law and belongs to a reputed political family in Jammu. He’s also interested in acting, so I wish him all the best for that. His family is very good, and I am glad that Susanne and Arslan are happy together,” said Zarine while talking to ETimes.
When asked whether marriage is on the cards soon? She replied, “If you find happiness with someone today, you are lucky. One does not know what lies in store in the future. Today, life is what you make of it… the age-old notion that you have to be married to be happy and settled, no longer holds true now. Women are independent, established in their careers and also want to make their own decisions. And marriage is a bond, which not always keeps you bonded for life. So, I am happy to see that Arslan and Susanne are happy together and focused on their career.”
