According to The Mirror’s report citing royal expert Tom Quinn, Prince Harry, who always supports wife Meghan in her venture, is not very sure about a certain part of her new business. The Duchess of Sussex unveiled American Riviera Orchard with a brand-new social media account on March 15 and is expected to sell a range of homewares, cosmetics and décor items. Royal insider Tom Quinn says that Harry publicly backs Meghan’s new venture but is privately embarrassed because the royal family “look down on this kind of commercial enterprise”.
But Harry still believes that Meghan can never go wrong. Tom Quinn according to The Mirror report further said, “We have to remember that he grew up in a family that would’ve looked down on this kind of commercial enterprise, so there is a part of Harry that’s uncomfortable which is why we are unlikely to see Harry personally baking cakes or demonstrating kitchen utensils.’’
About the brand
According to Mirror reports, insiders have to say that Meghan spent over a year working on American Riviera Orchard. They claimed: “It’s all the things that are close to her heart. All the things she is passionate about.” It comes as Prince Harry’s wife was accused of using Princess Diana’s legacy to promote her new business, as it was announced on a very important date.
“It’s really significant that Meghan‘s new American Riviera Orchard brand was launched on the same date as the Diana award – Meghan has always seen herself as Diane’s heir,” Quinn told us. “She sees herself as suffering because of the media, just as she feels Diana suffered, but on this side of the pond at least, there will be a huge amount of criticism that she is just trying to cash in on Diana’s legacy.”
The funding and potential of Meghan’s brand
Last week, PR insider Lynn Carratt told the Mirror newspaper Meghan’s new lifestyle brand had “serious potential” to take on rival celebrity product lines, like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop empire.
“Meghan has the potential to make a name for herself in the cosmetic industry,” she told the Mirror newspaper. Lynn further added, “Love her or hate her, one thing you can say about her is that she looks good, she knows how to use the right creams and make-up to accentuate her features and make her skin look good.”
