Shreya Dhanwanthary, who is making her Bollywood debut with Why Cheat India , recently spoke up about sexual misconduct allegations against the film’s director

reported PTI. The #MeToo movement, which gained ground in the latter half of 2018, revealed allegations against noted personalities in the entertainment industry. Sen was named by three women who accused him of inappropriate behaviour. Following the allegations, Sen withdrew from the film promotions. Image from Instagram[/caption] Shreya, speaking recently on the issue, stated that she fully supported the survivors and stood by them. She stated that though the news came as a shock to her, mainly owing to the ‘perfect time’ she had on sets, she backs her Why Cheat India producers and reiterated that she was in full support of the survivors. Why Cheat India depicts the malpractices which are rampant within the Indian education system. Shreya made her film debut with Telugu feature Sneha Geetham in 2010. The actress stated that she had managed to bag her first Hindi project after eight years of struggle. The actor also said as one is a newcomer and an outsider in the industry, “choice is a privilege”. “I know what the other side looks like. I know what being hungry, poor, homeless and unemployed looks like. I’ve been through all of it. Once you go through so many rejections, you’re not sure if anyone is even going to select you,” added Shreya.
