Tragedy befell in the Chinese social media landscape as a 24-year old Chinese influencer passed away due to overeating during live streaming. The late influencer was was a Mukbang live streamer which means she entertained her viewers by eating a variety of foods on camera.
She used to work as a waitress and did multiple chores to keep the kitchen on her house running. Once she found success and fame on social media, she made this landscape into her full time profession. She used to eat all sorts of food items to keep her fans and viewers entertained, much to the dismay and concern of her family.Chinese website Sohu reported that her stomach was filled with undigested food, and the lower part was deformed, which led to her unfortunate demise.
The report also says at the time of her death, she weighed 300 kg (approximately 660 pounds). She was hospitalised due to gastric bleeding, and after being discharged, she began undertaking even more hazardous challenges. She consumed up to 10 kg of food in a single session and would eat continuously for up to 10 hours a day.
