Anna Wintour was editor-in-chief of American Vogue for 37 years glorious years. But after nearly four decades, she has stepped down from her position. The new editor-in-chief is Chloe Malle. Here’s everything you need to know about her.
Chloe is the daughter of the late French filmmaker Louis Malle and American model and actress Candice Bergen.
As per her Wikipedia page, “After graduating she became an intern at the New York Observer and was promoted to the position of real estate writer. She contributed to The New York Times Style section and completed a freelance piece for Vogue, when she heard an opening for the new position of “social editor”.

“Fashion and media are both evolving at breakneck speed, and I am so thrilled and awed to be part of that. I also feel incredibly fortunate to still have Anna just down the hall as my mentor.”
Netizens react
One wrote- " I think Eva has been out of the Conde Nast world for quite a while so she would have to readapt again. I mean it‘s been ten years since she helmed Teen Vogue. Also the perks of Meta are probably way better.”
A second said, “I respect that Chloe embraces her nepo baby status and generally like her style. But also I was first introduced to Chloe back in 2013 when I read this ridiculously twee article she wrote about Miranda Brooks and Bastien Hallard’s Brooklyn home, so I’m worried Vogue will continue to emphasize tacky and ostentatious wealth (see the most recent Vogue cover of Mrs Jeff Bezos) and focus less on bold style and clever risks."
Another comment read- “Honestly it makes sense. She has the pedigree, which as someone else mentioned, is important for navigating “that” world. She also is in the fashion world without being Fashion with a capital F. Meaning, she’s in the know but also a little Plane Jane. Which, makes sense: Anna has never been on the cutting edge, risk taking side of fashion.”
