Kangana Ranaut began her Bollywood career in the year 2006 with Anurag Basu’s Gangster. She became one of the finest actors of the industry but she forayed into politics and last year, said she would quit acting if she won the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Ranaut was quoted saying, “The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment. It is a glossy world like a fake bubble which is to attract the audience.”
She added, “his is the reality. I am a very passionate person. I never wanted to do a job because I had to. Even in films I start writing, and when I get bored of playing a role, I direct or produce, so I have a very fertile mind and I want to be passionately engaged.”
Kangana Ranaut, who made her debut in 2006 with Gangster, went on to give several memorable films and bagged awards for her portrayals in Queen, Fashion, Manikarnika, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and others.
After her illustrious career of 18 years in showbiz, she turned politician and is currently the BJP MP. While _Kangana_ is undoubtedly one of the finest actresses in the industry, she recently made a bold statement claiming that she ‘just hates being an actor’.
“No, acting is not daunting at all…. I think acting for me is too passive.… I just hate being an actor. I just hate it with so much intensity. That I can’t tell you because. You come to the set and you’re always looking ‘what’s happening? You know, What’s going on? Which scene are you doing? You are just always wondering, What’s going on?” she told IANS.
“And besides, You wonder, what’s going on with my life? What am I doing? You know, so much time is getting wasted. And, we all have such limited time. And these are the best years of my life. And then there’s the AD, who says ‘we are ready’ and when you’re ready. Then (they say) ‘wait, wait’… Even if you’re the main lead. You know, I hate it,” the Thalaivii actress added.
