Watch: Blackmail song 'Badla' features Irrfan Khan, Amit Trivedi and DIVINE in video filled with vengeance

The latest song from Irrfan Khan’s upcoming film Blackmail has been released. The track titled ‘Badla’ is a special promotional video that features Irrfan along with acclaimed music director Amit Trivedi and rapper DIVINE. YouTube screengrab[/caption] Irrfan’s look in the video song is same as that of the film, but Trivedi and DIVINE appear in avatars that we have never seen them in before. As the name of the song ‘Badla’ suggests, the major theme of the track also revolves around revenge. The lyrics, the visuals, the singing, the rapping, the tonality of the track all reek of vengeance and anger. Irrfan is seen breaking mirrors and wash basins with a hammer, tearing off pillows, etc in the video. All of this rage and feeling of revenge in the video stems from the film’s plot. Irrfan’s character seems to be in the receiving end of infidelity and betrayal when his wife (played by Kirti Kulhari) cheats on him with someone else (played by Arunoday Singh). The film promises to be a riveting thriller, with a blackmail within another blackmail, and the latest song ‘Badla’ is a perfect fit to the essence of the film. Blackmail also stars  Divya Dutta, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao. Co-produced by Bhushan and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, and Deo and Apurba Sengupta’s RDP Motion Pictures, Blackmail is directed by Delhi Belly co-writer Abhinay Deo.
