_War 2_ has earned around Rs 29.50 crore in its Hindi (original) version, approximately Rs 23 crore in its Telugu version and close to Rs 30 lakhs in its Tamil version. The cumulative business of the movie stands at Rs 53.10 crore. With this number, it has managed to emerge as the biggest Bollywood opener of the year by beating Vicky Kaushal-Jr NTR starrer Chhaava (Rs 33.10 crore) by a huge margin.

It has turned out to be Hrithik Roshan’s biggest opener of all-time as it marginally fell short of War (Rs 53.35 crore).

Jr NTR’s biggest opener in his Bollywood debut

Jr NTR registered the record of getting the biggest opener as a Bollywood debutant, beating Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara, which collected Rs 22 crore.

Ayan Mukerji’s biggest opener

It has also emerged as director Ayan Mukerji’s biggest opener, beating Brahmastra, which raked in Rs 36 crore on its first day.

War 2 became the third biggest opener in the YRF Spy Universe franchise after Pathaan (Rs 57 crore) and War (Rs 53.35 crore)
