VIP 2: Dhanush-Kajol starrer gets an 11 August release date

VIP 2, starring Dhanush and Kajol in the lead roles, is probably one of the most awaited Tamil films this year. Soundarya Rajinikanth in the director’s shoes, Dhanush as the nonchalant Raghuvaran and Bollywood superstar Kajol as the antagonist are enough reasons for making the film an anticipated watch. Dhanush took to Twitter on 1 August and put all the speculation regarding the release date of the film to an end. He tweeted that VIP 2’s release date would be 11 August. Along with it, he also shared a small teaser which showed Dhanush’s character Raghuvaran. The teaser also highlights Kajol’s glamorous-cum-corporate look as a business magnate. Other actors in the movie include Samuthirakan, Saranya Ponvannan and Amala Paul who will reprise their characters from the original film. Dhanush has penned the story and dialogues of the film, while Soundarya, along with directing, has also written the VIP 2’s screenplay. Here is Dhanush’s tweet along with the teaser:
