Vindu Dara Singh recently indulged in a heartfelt conversation with Siddharth Kannan during an appearance on his YouTube Channel. Known for essaying the role of Hanuman in the TV show, Jai Veer Hanuman and Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, the actor’s personal life often grabs the attention of the public. Shedding life on his married life with his ex-wife, Vindu opened up on the advice that his father late Dara Singh gave him before he tied the nuptial knot with Farah Naaz in 1996.
Delving into various aspects of life, Vindu Dara Singh disclosed that his father had cautioned him against the possible complications of marrying someone from a different religious background. The actor said, “Whatever he used to say was always right. I remember I was in love with Farah, and we were going to get married and Dad said, ‘Vindu think once because love is fine but when the marriage takes place between two religions, Hindu and Muslim, it gets a little hard.’ I said, No, dad nothing is hard because we were both in love and we didn’t care much about religion.”
As the actor went on to elaborate further, he acknowledged the shift in dynamics due to religion and said that moving forward, he realised that his father was right. The actor remarked, “When religion comes into the picture things change, equations change.”
Vindu, then, spoke about his marriage with Farah, the sister of Tabu . He shed light on both the positives and negatives of his married life with Farah and divulged that there is no anonymity between them and instead, they shared a good friendship. Vindu and Farah are the parents of Fateh Randhawa, whom they welcomed in 1997. After six years of their wedding, the duo decided to separate from each other in 2002.
Speaking about his wife, Vindu said that she once asked him to send her to Hajj following which she will quit smoking. The actor said that he made all the settings and sent her for Hajj but after she came back, she was a completely different woman. The former Bigg Boss winner reiterated, “Everything about her was changed. That’s when I remembered whatever Dad said to me. From there, things started to go downhill. But it is ok.” In the end, he heaped praises on Farah and called her a wonderful mother.
