In a sad turn of events, veteran Telugu actor Chandra Mohan died on Saturday due to a cardiac arrest in Hyderabad. The 82-year-old actor who was recently admitted to the Apollo Hospital in the city breathed his last at around 9:45 AM in the presence of his family members. He was reportedly undergoing treatment for heart-related ailments and was admitted to the hospital a few days back. He is survived by his wife, Jalandhara, and two daughters. As per the latest information available, the late actor’s final rites will be held in Hyderabad on Monday, 13 November. A family member of the veteran actor also spoke to the media on Saturday and confirmed the news, adding that the actor had remained unwell for quite some time due to age-related issues. As soon as the news broke out, many from the Telugu film industry were seen mourning the loss and paying their tributes. Tributes pour in for late actor Chandra Mohan Jr NTR while taking to his X handle expressed heartfelt condolences to the celebrated actor’s family. “It is very sad to see the untimely death of Chandramohan Garu, who has earned special recognition for himself by playing different roles in films for many decades. My deepest condolences to his family and may his soul rest in peace,” he wrote.

Among others included film director Sampath Nandi and actors Aadi Saikumar, Venkatesh Daggubati and Nani, who were seen extending condolences on social media platforms. Chandra Mohan career Marking his beginning in the Telugu film industry in 1966 with the film Rangula Ratnam, Chandra Mohan in a career spanning around five decades has worked in over 900 films. He has also received two Nandi awards along with Filmfare awards for his performances. He was a cousin of veteran director and Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner K Viswanath and is also closely related to late singer SP Balasubramaniam.
