Uri: Twitter divided over trailer, call Vicky Kaushal's patriotic drama 'jingoistic, irresponsible'

The trailer of Vicky Kaushal-starrer  Uri dropped on Wednesday and has already started waves. The patriotic drama is based on the 2016 Uri attacks, which was reported as “the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades”. In retaliation to the attack, the Indian Army on 29 September conducted covert surgical strikes in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. However, proper details of the encounter remain unclear till date. In Uri, Kaushal plays a commander-in-chief who leads the Indian troops into Pakistan. While the trailer has been largely appreciated, many have accused the makers of fanning jingoistic fervour. Some even called the trailer an example of hyper-nationalism that somehow creeps into Bollywood around 15 August and 26 January. Here are some reactions:
