Tiger 3 box office: Will Salman Khan starrer open bigger than Jawan in south-Indian market? Trade expert opines

The megastar of the entertainment industry, Salman Khan is back in his most loved avatar Tiger with the third edition of the espionage thriller franchise. The trailer of the mega-budget actioner has already a monstrous response from the audience as the cinegoers can’t wait to witness the epic battle between Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi, who is the lead antagonist of the film. While Tiger 3 will definitely set new benchmarks in the northern part of the country, how big it will open in its Telugu and Tamil versions? Will it open bigger than Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan ?

Prominent trade expert, Ramesh Bala shared his thoughts on this while having a conversation with Firstpost. He said, “Yeah, it will benefit (due to the success of Jawan) to some extent, but it may not open like Jawan because Jawan had a lot of South Indian stars like Nayanthara, Priyamani, Vijay Sethupathi. But, it will certainly do better. There is more awareness about Tiger 3. So, it will do better. But we don’t know whether it will do like Jawan.” Talking about the overwhelming response to the trailer, Salman Khan said, “I think what we are witnessing today as a response to the Tiger 3 trailer is simply outstanding. I have been fortunate to have films in my career that has given me a lot of love. But to get this volume of appreciation and to see this amount of frenzy after a trailer launch, is truly special and a rare feeling.” He added, “I’m happy that our trailer has hit all the right notes and people are supremely excited to watch Tiger 3 in cinemas! I’m also really touched by how people have reacted to seeing Katrina and me back as Zoya & Tiger. I’m aware that these two super-agents hold a special place in the hearts of audience and I’m glad that we have lived upto their expectations with the Tiger 3 trailer. I think people will be very happy seeing both of us in action, taking on our enemies shoulder to shoulder.”
