Tiger 3 Box-Office: Salman Khan delivers his biggest opening despite Diwali as film collects Rs 44.50 crore on day one

It was a unique strategy on the part of Yash Raj Films to release Tiger 3 on a Sunday, something never done before, and that too on the day of the Diwali. Despite the celebrations of Diwali and Durga Puja, _Tiger 3_ created a new record for Salman, Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi and the collections on day two are likely to go bigger. The collections on day one are approx. Rs 44.50 crore according to Sacnilk, higher than Khan’s previous massive openers Bharat (Rs 42.30 crore) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 40.35 crore). Given how historic 2023 has been for Hindi films with giants like Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2, this juggernaut should also enter the Rs 500-crore club at the box-office. The birth of Tiger When Yash Raj Films made Ek Tha Tiger back in 2012, little did they know it would turn into a franchise. Talking about the leading man Salman Khan, he was reportedly paid Rs 15 crore for Kabir Khan’s directorial. For the sequel (Tiger Zinda Hai), he took home around Rs 135 crore. And for Tiger 3, he’s reportedly into a 60% profit sharing with YRF and charging Rs 100 crore.
