Preity Zinta turns 49 today, who’s fondly known as the dimpled girl of the industry. She began her career in 1998 with Dil Se and Solider and went on to do films like Sangharsh, Kya Kehna, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Koi Mil Gaya, Veer-Zaara, and Salaam Namaste. But she too has had her shares of struggles and controversies. In 2012, she turned producer with her comeback vehicle _Ishkq In Paris_ that took forever to see the lights of the day and finally released in May 2013. The film was a commercial and critical failure and the dialogue writer Abbas Tyrewala filed a case of Cheque bouncing against the actress after her Cheque of Rs 18.9 lacs bounced. It was reported she went through severe financial issues back then. Alleged relationship with Shekhar Kapur In a recent interview with Siddharth Kanan, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa‘ actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi spoke about her tumultuous marriage with filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and also how Preity Zinta doesn’t exist for her anymore, someone who was accused of having a relationship with Kapur. Zinta was accused by Krishnamoorthi of having an affair with Kapur. The Armaan actress once responded to these allegations by saying, “I am the number one actress and you don’t even work, you are a homemaker. Suchitra, don’t talk to me like that. You need to see a psychiatrist, your mind is not in the right place.” Molestation charges against Ness Wadia Zinta filed a complaint against Ness Wadia accusing him of molestation, threats and abuse on June 13, 2014. The actress said in her complaint- “He tried to abuse me and used extremely derogatory language and tried to behave in a manner where I was put to shame in front of my colleagues, friends and family.”
