After Special Ops 2, Muzammil Ibrahim to be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War?

Muzammil Ibrahim garnered praise for his portrayal in Neeraj Pandey’s Special Ops 2 released last month. And the impact of its success is reverberating as the actor has now been approached for another big project, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.

An insider source tells us, “Muzammil has been approached by the casting team for an important character in Love & War. While the details of it are being kept under wraps, it is a character with grey shade and will play a poignant part in the story and the main conflict in the film. The actor is yet to give his nod for the part.”

Muzammil has been a part of both seasons of Special Ops and his character Avinash has been widely lauded by the audience and industry alike. While the actor has been quite selective about his projects, _Love & War_ will be a big addition to his filmography if the team up happens.

_Love & War_ marks a reunion of Sanjay with Ranbir Kapoor after his debut film Saawariya, and with Alia Bhatt after Gangubai Kathiawadi, which bagged her a National Film Award for Best Actress. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal and is a periodic drama, with Ranbir and Vicky playing Air Force officers in it. Love & War will be released in theatres next year.

On dating Deepika Padukone

He shared that in her initial days, he used to be a public figure while she was a newbie and now the tides have turned. “We were in a relationship for two years," said Ibrahim while talking to Siddharth Kannan.

Sharing that he was the first guy Deepika met in Mumbai, he said, “She was very confident because she is Prakash Padukone’s daughter, so everyone knew about her." Muzammil further shared that it was Deepika who asked him out and he was the one who broke up with her.

“I was a star at that time, she was not. She is a superstar now. Everyone knows her; nobody knows me. I am a big fan. I love watching her movies. She is a beautiful woman. She is doing so great, but the fact is what it is," Ibrahim said.

When questioned of them being in touch, Ibrahim replied, “Before she got married, we would talk sometimes." He shared that they became friendly after their breakup and used to congratulate each other on their achievements. However, they lost touch after Deepika married Ranveer Singh.
