Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Vaccine War released this Thursday at the box-office and the jump in the collections was missing. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, he spoke about how the movies made in recent times are superficial. Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, the filmmaker said, “I think his recent films are very superficial. He can do far better than that.” He added, " Those that I have watched, I found them very superficial. They are okay at the level of an action film but to present them as a standard of filmmaking and that this is the end of show business, I don’t agree with that. Then I think it’s a psycho frenzy. To this, he said, “I will die if I start thinking like this. Who thinks like this? And how can someone think like this? Alia Bhatt won the National Award, she is an actor of India. She was honoured by the Government of India. Even I got a National Award that time. When Kangana won the National Award, I congratulated her too.” Speaking highly of Alia, Vivek Agnihotri recalled the time he met her during an award ceremony. “I love the way she came and met me,” he said.
