'The Vaccine War' director Vivek Agnihotri says 'Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan were very superficial'

Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Vaccine War released this Thursday at the box-office and the jump in the collections was missing. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, he spoke about how the movies made in recent times are superficial. Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, the filmmaker said, “I think his recent films are very superficial. He can do far better than that.” He added, " Those that I have watched, I found them very superficial. They are okay at the level of an action film but to present them as a standard of filmmaking and that this is the end of show business, I don’t agree with that. Then I think it’s a psycho frenzy. I have a problem with that." On being trolled by Shah Rukh Khan’s fans The trolls and bots created by Shah Rukh Khan’s social media agency, have decided to attack Vivek Agnihotri. They have a feeling that I may…but I always praise him. In the same interview, Agnihotri was asked if he can get  Alia and  Kangana to do a film together. To this, he said, “I will die if I start thinking like this. Who thinks like this? And how can someone think like this? Alia Bhatt won the National Award, she is an actor of India. She was honoured by the Government of India. Even I got a National Award that time. When Kangana won the National Award, I congratulated her too.” Speaking highly of Alia,  Vivek Agnihotri recalled the time he met her during an award ceremony. “I love the way she came and met me,” he said. About  _The Vaccine War_ Vivek Agnihotri-helmed The Vaccine War was released in theatres on 28 September. Other than Nana Patekar, the film stars Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen in pivotal roles.
