Niraj Chauhan’s ‘The Secret of Devkaali’ is one of the year’s most anticipated movies. This mythological thriller has a strong social message and holds the audience’s attention until the end.
To reveal a long-kept secret, Madhav Tyagi (Niraj Chauhan), son of a Tyagi ji (Sanjay Mishra), becomes a tool of divine intervention. It centres on the tiny village of Devkaali, which is inhabited by the two main clans, Kring and Pariyaar. The village chief’s son, Hemant Acharya (Mahesh Manjrekar), is instrumental in causing family strife for his own benefit. Family conflicts became so prevalent that the entire village and the surrounding areas were forced to deal with the difficulties of natural disasters. The movie’s climax is its true core; therefore, you have to see it to find out what occurs at the conclusion.
Actors Niraj Chauhan and Bhumika Gurrung were able to catch the attention of the audience with their impactful performances. Senior artists like Sanjay Mishra, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Zarina Wahab are the real heart and soul of the film. Actor Amit Lekhwani’s screen appearance and acting are very powerful. Given a chance, Amit could have done much better, but the script didn’t allow him much. Apart from them, other artists like Ramkrishan Dhakad, Prashant Narayanan, Ashutosh Chauhan, and Manan Bhardwaj have also done justice to their parts.
Neha Mahendra Soni’s story and dialogues are quite impressive. Apart from a good storyline, although its music does not play any major role in this mythological thriller, yet Ali Aslam Shah’s melodies enhances the the film and takes the movie to the next level.
It is easy to observe how compelling Niraj Chauhan’s direction is. The climax moment is very amazing, and filmmaker Niraj did a fantastic job as a director since he had a strong hold on the plot. Overall, this is one of the finest mythological thrillers of the year.
