Cast: Karishma, Padmanabh Gaikwad & Amit Riyaan
Director: Vaibhav Kulkarni
Written and directed by Vaibhav Kulkarni, The Rabbit House is a refreshing romance mystery that tells the story of a newlywed couple - a meek woman and a short-tempered man, who court disaster while on their honeymoon. Set in Himachal Pradesh, the narrative follows the lives of Shrikant (Amit Riyan) and Komal (Karishma) who head to the mountains to spend quality time together after their arranged marriage. While there, they reside at the mysterious The Rabbit House and meet Mohit (Padmanabh Gaikwad) - the son of the owner of the Rabbit House who looks after the property.
The romantic mystery - which is sure to have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish, is filled with several twists and turns. Is Komal really dead? Did Shrikant - while angry with something, push her off a cliff? How is Mohit connected to the death of the new bride? To know the answers to these questions, we advise you to watch the film.
Talking about performances, all three lead stars - Karishma, Padmanabh Gaikwad and Amit Riyan, have impressed. While Karishma beautifully portrays the innocence of Komal with her body language, Amit’s eyes succeed in bringing to life Shrikant. Padmanabh’s control over his emotions is a beauty in itself.
Technically speaking, the writing is crisp and has the ability to keep you glued to your seats from the start credits to the end slate. The background score adds a layer to the narrative making The Rabbit House an immersive watch. The cinematography is spot on and succeeds in transporting the viewers to the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. The editing and direction too do not disappoint.
